| Hi! I'm Donna Pfledderer and I have over
20 years of experience in business and
the computer field. I started out as a data
entry clerk for a fitness center and quickly
moved up through the positions; Accounts
Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, General
Booking and Costing, to become the Chief
Accountant of Control Laser Corporation,
a $24 million plus industrial laser manufacturer
based in Orlando Florida. I have a degree
in Business Management and over 170 credit
hours for classes ranging from Basic Programming,
Personal Investing, Accounting and Art. My
most recent credits are in pottery.
Due to cut backs at Control Laser, not only did I take
on the roll as Chief Accountant, but was also responsible
for handling the cost accounting; the operations, back-up
and maintenance of the companies main frame computer
and the maintenance of the personal computers. I trained
employees on computer operations and the software.
I even installed hardware in the PC's and mainframe.
I learned to multitask well.
I enjoy getting my hands into the heart of things,
finding out what makes them tick. I look for a more
efficient way to complete a task and find solutions
to whatever problem arise.
I pride myself on my ability to find problems with
software, websites, machinery and errors in writing,
then correcting them. To me it is playing the role
of detective which I enjoy.
I resigned from Control Laser in 1997 and went back to school to pursue another passion of mine, Art. While enrolled in the Graphic Design program at Valencia Community College in Orlando, Florida, I was exposed to web page programming and the Internet and I have been hooked ever since. I graduated with a degree in Graphic Design in April of 2000 and moved to North Carolina in May of 2000.
Though I haven't had many jobs designing, I have had
the opportunity to use what I have learned. It came
in handy when creating and ordering brochures and other
printed material for OmniTicket Network, ordering printed
reports for MarketingSherpa, Inc. and volunteering
my time to create websites for the Occonechee
Council Cubscout Pack 365 the RFA
Class of 78's 25th class reunion and the
Johnston County Arts Council
